Bi-monthly workshops for making accessories from African wax print fabric (January – June 2026)
All materials are provided FREE OF CHARGE, and you will have the opportunity to learn how to create various accessories — gift bags, fans, decorative wall art — using African wax ( pagne ) fabric.


Bi-monthly financial literacy workshops
(July – September 2026)
Designed to help you better manage your household budget, understand the Canadian banking system, and lay the foundations for long-term financial security.


Monthly information and integration workshops
(January – October 2026)
Different topics each month to support you throughout your integration journey.

Eligibility Criteria
Must be able to commit to attending the various workshops
Must reside in the City of Ottawa
Must identify as a mother of Cameroonian origin
Must be highly motivated and interested in accessory-making, financial literacy, and integration support
Valuing textile heritage as an entrepreneurial opportunity
Developing creativity and launching economic initiatives
Providing a welcoming space for newly arrived mothers to connect, learn, and move forward together
Helping mothers better understand, organize, and strengthen their financial stability in Canada
